Yes, an extra large turbocharger will leave you room to grow if you ever decide you need more power, but it introduces a host of other problems when compared to a stock sized turbo. The biggest problem is throttle response. The larger a turbocharger is, the higher its threshold is; this means its optimum RPM range ends up significantly higher in the RPM range.
